Let’s get to know the Macau street race track a bit better – it’s one of the most challenging street circuits. Its narrow streets, sharp turns, and close barriers make it one of the most challenging and thrilling tracks on our racing calendar. Known for its intense atmosphere and legendary status in motorsport, every lap here pushes drivers to the absolute limit.
The Macau Grand Prix began as a simple idea by three local car enthusiasts over coffee, planning a small car treasure hunt. With help from the Hong Kong Motor Sports Club, the route was transformed into a Grand Prix race, with support from Macau authorities. The first race took place on October 30-31, 1954.
Over the years, the track evolved from a rough, partly dirt road to a world-class circuit. In 1966, it started attracting professional racers, and by 1967, it included motorcycle races, making Macau unique with both car and bike events 🏎️💨
The Grand Prix is one of the world’s top street races, with legends like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher competing here on their way to Formula 1 fame🥇🔥
Even with all the nerves before this race weekend and the final race of the season, we have “the TCR king” of this track with us, Robert Huff! His unmatched experience and skills on the Guia circuit bring us confidence as he chases his 12th victory here in Macau. Let’s make this one unforgettable! 🏆🔥
