3rd round of the TCR Europe Spa-Francorchamps

In the 3rd round of the TCR Europe Spa-Francorchamps Volcano Motorsport had proven again that in Spa we can demonstrate the superiority of our team!

Last weekend the team headed to Belgium where our three of our drivers Evgenii Leonov, Klim Gavrilov and Isidro Callejas delivered a great show on the always demanding 7km long Spa-Francorchamps racetrack.

Klim Gavrilov and Isidro Callejas are now 3rd and 4th in the championship standings respectively, showed their speed from the beginning of the weekend, getting P2 and P3 in the qualifying on Saturday.

Meanwhile, our diamond driver Evgenii Leonov classified in P16 and in both races had to fight his way up to secure P10 and P11 finishes overall in the two races making great starts and brave overtakings which brought him a double victory in the diamond category. 👏👏

In Race 1, Isidro Callejas quickly moved into P2 thanks to a good start and chased the race leader until he was able to claim the lead on the last lap of the race. With this result Isidro became the youngest ever race winner of TCR Europe while Volcano Motorsport got 5th victory in a row in Spa after the success in 2020 and 2021.

On the other hand, Klim Gavrilov had a tough Race 1 with plenty of battles but was able to finish in P6 and score important points for the championship.

In the reversed grid Race 2, the two young drivers started from P9 Klim Gavrilov and P8 Isidro Callejas and were fighting all the race to finally finish in P8 and P7 respectively.

With this great results Volcano Motorsport sits now 2nd on the Teams championship.

Next round is in 2 weeks time on the unique street circuit of Norisring in Germany!
