End of the season 2024 FIA TCR World Tour

20 nov 2024
End of the season 2024 FIA TCR World Tour Macau Weekend 🏁 What can we say…. The last race of 2024 FIA TCR World Tour in Macau had finally come to an end. While the results weren’t exactly what we had hoped for, the team gave it all to achieve the best possible results. The “Lady Luck” was not with us in Macau this time.
While during FP1 and FP2 we had a good pase and were always up top of timing sheets, qualifying didn’t go as planned. Due to the pit lane position in Qualy we had been stuck in the traffic with 32 cars on track this weekend. With FIA WT cars been run together with TCR China and lots of yellow and red flags during the session we had only managed to do one flying lap with each car. P15 for Rob Huff and P18 for John Fillipi.
On the tight and challenging streets of Macau, overtaking is always difficult. In the Race 1 Rob Huff made an rocket start and moved from P15 to P8 in the first 2 laps. He finally finished P6 putting a lot of pressure and almost overtaking for P5.
John Filippi in the other hand was very unlucky. Starting from P18 he was one of the cars that was sandwiched in the pile up in T3. With badly damaged car he was unable to continue and was forced to retire from the race. What can we say about wet and chaotic Race 2?The race was postponed due to a very bad weather with lots of rain and standing water on the track. After more than an hour of delay, the race finally started under safety car. Which was the worst posible scenario for us as we were starting again in P15 and P18. This time bad luck was for Rob Huff when he was hit hard from behind by one of the Chinese drivers and pushed into the car in front with a massive damage that had taken Rob out of the Race 2. John was a bit more lucky and finished the Race 2 in P13. And with that, our season comes to an end. It’s been a very hard year of learning and growth for the team. We’ve faced many difficulties and unexpected challenges but gained a great deal valuable experience along the way.
Thank you for your amazing support everyone, and we’ll see what next season will bring! 💪✨
