The history of the Monza Circuit is deeply connect with the history of motorsport making it a legendary track in the racing world 🌎🏎️ Let's take a quick journey through the past: 🕰️ Monza was officially opened in 1922, making it one of the oldest racetracks in the world, third after Brooklands and Indianapolis, it has been the scene of some of the greatest sporting and technological innovations. 🚀Monza often referred to as the “Temple of Speed” due to its long straights and high-speed nature. 🏆 The Formula 1 championship take place in Monza since its introduction in 1950. Giuseppe Farina was the first-ever Formula 1 World Champion, and Monza witnessed history in the making. 🏎️ One of the most iconic moments was in 1971 when Peter Gethin won by just 0.01 seconds, the closest finish in Formula 1 history! 🏁📏 👑 The legendary Michael Schumacher has the most Formula 1 wins at Monza, with a total of 5 victories at this iconic circuit. 🚗 The Monza race track has evolved over the years, with variations used for different racing series. The current Monza circuit is 5.793 kilometers long. 🗯️ The history of this racetrack also has some sad moments. In 1928, the driver Emilio Materassi lost control of his car on the finishing straight and crashed into the crowd gathered on the track, killing 20 spectators and injuring over 40. Monza had seen a lot of triumphs and heart-stopping moments over the years with it’s Parabolica turn, the high-speed straights and we are so proud to be part of the Monza legacy, and can’t wait to race in Monza again!
